WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE “SWIM HARNESS,” THE “SWIM TETHER,” AND THE “SWIM-IN-PLACE?”

They are all the same product. The “Swim Tether” selection includes quantity discount pricing for dealers/resellers.

WHAT SWIM STROKES CAN I DO WITH THE SWIM HARNESS?

Most all of the common swimming strokes work well with the harness. The D-ring that connects the line to the belt will slide from back to side to front as appropriate for the given stroke. Also try facing backwards in a seated position while fanning your arms forward in a butterfly motion for a great pectoral exercise.

HOW CAN I KEEP MY LEGS FROM SINKING WHEN I SWIM?

Some swimmers experience a tendency for their legs to sink during stationary swimming. This is due to the absence of the planing action that exists when a swimmer is actually moving forward through the water.

If you experience this, make sure you are wearing the belt as low around your hips as possible without slipping out of it. This supports your pelvis and greatly reduces the sinking effect. You may also benefit from attaching the harness line to a higher anchor point so that it provides more lift to the hips.

A slight sinking of the legs actually encourages steady kicking and provides for a better workout.

CAN I GET A BELT LONGER THAN 48 INCHES?

We don’t have a belt longer than 48 inches. However, you can order an additional belt from the accessories section and combine them into a single belt with two buckles.
